Performance tests, such as SYSmark and MobileMark, are measured using specific computer systems, components, software, operations and functions. Any change to any of those factors may cause the results to vary. You should consult other information and performance tests to assist you in fully evaluating your contemplated purchases, including the performance of that product when combined with other products. Performance tests and ratings are measured using specific computer systems and/or components and reflect the approximate performance of Intel products as measured by those tests. Any difference in system hardware or software design or configuration may affect actual performance. Buyers should consult other sources of information to evaluate the performance of systems or components they are considering purchasing. All dates and products specified are for planning purposes only and are subject to change without notice. Relative performance for each benchmark is calculated by taking the actual benchmark result for the first platform tested and assigning it a value of 1.0 as a baseline. Relative performance for the remaining platforms tested was calculated by dividing the actual benchmark result for the baseline platform into each of the specific benchmark results of each of the other platforms and assigning them a relative performance number that correlates with the performance improvements reported. Towards Multicore WCET Analysis
AbsInt is the leading provider of commercial tools for static code-level timing analysis. Its aiT Worst-Case Execution Time Analyzer computes tight bounds for the WCET of tasks in embedded real-time systems. However, the results only incorporate the core-local latencies, i.e. interference delays due to other cores in a multicore system are ignored. This paper presents some of the work we have d...
متن کاملThermal-aware global real-time scheduling and analysis on multicore systems
As the power density of modern electronic circuits increases dramatically, systems are prone to overheating. Thermal management has become a prominent issue in system design. This paper explores thermalaware scheduling for sporadic real-time tasks to minimize the peak temperature in a homogeneous multicore system, in which heat might transfer among some cores. By deriving an ideally preferred s...
متن کاملMulticore Systems – Challenges for the Real - Time Software
Multicore systems have become the norm for desktop computer systems. The percentage of multicore systems in the embedded domain is still marginal, but growing at an incredible pace such that multicore will become the norm in the embedded area as well. However, embedded systems have additional requirements with respect to safety, reliability, and real-time behaviour. The use of parallel multicor...
متن کاملA Scheduling Algorithm for Synchronization Task in Embedded Multicore Systems ⋆
Synchronization of task usually happens in real-time embedded systems. But it is not easy to achieve a good performance for the synchronization tasks, especially on multicore processor. After analysis of the task characteristics on homogeneous multicore processor, we proposed a Longest Synchronization-Point Time (LSPT) task scheduling algorithm to obtain the good real-time performance and the m...
متن کاملComparing Separate and Statically-Partitioned Caches for Time-Predictable Multicore Processors
In this paper, we quantitatively compare two different time-predictable multicore cache architectures, separate and statically-partitioned caches, through extensive simulation. Current research trends primarily focus on partitioned-cache architectures in order to achieve time predictability for hard real-time multicore based systems, and our experiments reveal that separate caches actually lead...
متن کاملAutomatic WCET Analysis of Real-Time Parallel Applications
Tomorrow’s real-time embedded systems will be built upon multicore architectures. This raises two challenges. First, shared resources should be arbitrated in such a way that the WCET of independent threads running concurrently can be computed: in this paper, we assume that timepredictable multicore architectures are available. The second challenge is to develop software that achieves a high lev...
